The Gadsden Police Department warns that a man believed to be involved in a stabbing on Monday night is still on the loose.  According to reports, the suspect is a 59-year-old Gadsden man.  The altercation that led up to the stabbing took place in the 1400 block of Main Street.  Gadsden Police Department Public Information Officer Sergeant William Johnson says officers responded to a report that two men had been stabbed.  Authorities arrived and found two men lying on the side of the road being treated by medics.  The man believed to have committed the stabbing ran from the incident on foot while officers chased him. He fled into the woods.  Officials did not find him but they located his vehicle.  They learned the truck had been involved in a hit-and run accident that same day. It is a heavily damaged manual transmission blue or green G-M-C Sonoma.  The incident is still under investigation.
