An 85-year-old Centre man was airlifted to a Trauma Center in Tennessee after apparently being struck by a vehicle on Alexis Road in Centre on Monday afternoon.  Cherokee County 911 received the call reporting an individual lying in a driveway.  According to Officials with Cherokee E-M-S the victim was being picked up by a friend when that individual accidentally ran him over.  Cherokee E-M-S Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a landing zone at Cedar Bluff High School where a Life Force Helicopter transported him to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga.  There’s no word tonight on that man’s condition.
