Investigators Seize 20 Gambling Machines

Investigators conducted a search warrant on a business that just opened in Alexandria and seized 20 gambling machines on Tuesday. Calhoun County Sheriff Chief Deputy Matthew Wade says the machines deputies seized from Jamie’s Place are illegal gambling devices. Wade adds the operation was a partnership between the Sheriff’s Office and the District Attorney’s Office. The evidence will be presented to the D-As Office and the Attorney General’s office for a review. It’s illegal to promote any type of gambling in the state of Alabama.
