Renew Our Rivers Final Numbers

A single river cleanup in Gadsden that grew to a cleanup of the waterways, highways, and causeways throughout the state of Alabama announces record numbers for its September 6 event. 123 Renew Our Rivers volunteers met in Ohatchee to clean the H. Neely Henry Lake area and collected over 1.4 tons of debris. Renew our Rivers started 15 years ago with a single river cleanup event in Gadsden to become a nationally recognized campaign that includes Georgia, Mississippi and the Florida panhandle, six river systems and brings together more than 10,000 volunteers. The H. Neely Henry Renew Our Rivers 2015 event will be Saturday, August 29, 2015 in Ohatchee.
