Human Foosball

Can you imagine spinning, pushing and zooming past your opponent on a field full of players? And we’re not talking about soccer or football. The Jacksonville Parks and Recreation Department will debut Human Foosball on October 28th at their Flashlight Candy Hunt. As documented in popular Facebook videos, the Jacksonville version of foosball involves a side of no more than 10 players each: one goalie, defenders and attackers. The players all stand in a small wooden enclosure, holding onto a series of rotating poles while they try to shoot a soccer ball through the goal. City of Jacksonville Parks and Recreation Director Janis Burns says the new game is here and ready for anyone who wants to play. The yard game is located behind the Community Center and Ladiga Trail. We’ll have more on the Jacksonville Parks and Recreation No Tricks Just Treats 2014 Halloween Celebration that starts Saturday, October 25, tomorrow.
