JSU Gets Ready For Tennessee Tech

After an open week, Jacksonville State gets ready to take the field again for the last five games of the regular season. On Saturday, the No. 6 Gamecocks face Tennessee Tech. The Eagles are 2-2 in the conference (3-4 overall) but their last win was a big win. Tech upset Eastern Kentucky who were previously unbeaten and No. 12 in the nation.

This was JSU’s second open week of the season the first coming in week three The coaching staff decided to use this week to give players two off days and rest up for the OVC grind to end the year. Tennessee Tech over EKU wasn’t the only upset in the OVC last weekend. In fact, in each of the four games the team lower in the standings picked up a win. Austin Peay topped Murray State, UT Martin beat Tennessee State and Eastern Illinois knocked off Southeast Missouri.

The Gamecocks will look to stay unbeaten in league play Saturday against the Eagles. The game set for 3:00pm at Burgess Snow Field.
