People Speak Out On Mike Hubbard's Ethic Charges
More people are speaking out today about the indictment of Alabama House Speaker Mike Hubbard. A Lee County Grand jury indicted the Republican on 23 felony ethics charges. Hubbard is accused of using his office as speaker and his previous office as chairman of the Alabama Republican Party. He was processed and released from the Lee County Jail yesterday afternoon. A longtime friend of Hubbard's, U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers, says the indictment is designed to knock him out as a possible candidate for governor in 2018. Hubbard tells supporters that he plans to win his legislative race November 4 and continue as speaker of the Alabama House.
