Thursday, October 23, 2014

Social Security Benefits will rise next year. Checks will increase by 1.7 percent.  The Social Security Administration says that equals about $22 more each month.  In 2015, the average retired worker will receive $15,936 a year.  The increase is tied to the latest Consumer Price Index.  That’s the government’s main inflation measure.  It showed prices increased 1.7 percent in the past 12 months.
