MURDER

The second man charged with murder for the death of a Cedar Bluff man is back in Alabama. 36-year-old Darrell Burgess was extradited from Walker County, Georgia Wednesday afternoon and booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center. The other suspect in this case, 21-year-old Jeremiah Jackson, was brought back Monday. Investigators believe that Jackson and Burgess shot and killed 39-year-old Billy Ingram. It happened in the early morning hours of October 20th at a home in the Farill (FAIREAL) community, north of Cedar Bluff. Jackson and Burgess were taken into custody later that day in Walker County, Georgia. Bond has been set at $500,000, each.
