Munford Preps for 2nd Rd. Game vs W.S. Neal

Wednesday, November 12, 2014

The state playoffs are heading into the 2nd round this week. At this point of the season, only the best 16 teams in each class are still preparing for games. On Tuesday TV24 Sports caught up with one of them. The Munford Lions picked up a big victory on the road against St. James to move into round two. This Friday night they are back at home against W.S. Neal. The Lions were the fourth seed in their region, but their record shows that they have been battle tested. Six of the 10 teams the Lions played in the regular season made the playoffs and five of them are playing second round games. Last season the Lions went all the way to the semifinals of the state playoffs- just one game away from the championship and they are taking the lessons learned into this playoff run.
