JSU Keeps Focus On SEMO

Jacksonville State has already locked up the OVC Championship and they now set their eyes on the top prize- the national title. They are doing so with trust in each other.

One of the elements that head coach John Grass wanted with this team is a very physical brand of football. The players have responded so far leading the league in rushing, third down defense and scoring defense. They also have to balance physical play with being smart during the week of practice.

On the flipside, this coaching staff has trusted the players to get better every week and not look ahead to upcoming opponents. That will be pivotal this Saturday at Southeast Missouri with the playoffs just around the corner. If JSU wins on Saturday, they stand a very good chance of earning a national top eight seed and a first round bye in the FCS playoffs. The bracket will be announced Sunday morning. Hear from JSU coach John Grass and players in the featured video.
