Jacksonville State University continues its search for its next President. The J-S-U Search and Screen Advisory Committee gathered at the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce today to meet with stakeholders to discuss the process. Advisory Committee Chairman Ronnie Smith says that when a President retires it is a significant lesson for the institution. He says they are aiming to select a new President that will continue the outgoing President’s effort. Smith adds that they had a meeting last week with the faculty senate at J-S-U. He says the committee will provide three to five names of candidates to the J-S-U Trustees. And, the Trustees will make the final selection.
