College Students Visiting West Africa
Governor Robert Bentley is encouraging Alabama colleges to identify students or instructors returning from countries in West Africa dealing with the Ebola virus outbreak Bentley sent letters to college officials reminding them that students and instructors from West Africa may return home for the holidays and then come back to Alabama. The governor is asking schools to provide names of anyone planning to travel to West Africa, along with the dates they will return. It's possible that students and instructors returning to the state from West Africa could be asked to check in daily with health officials for three weeks. So far, there haven’t been any reported cases of Ebola in Alabama.
