Glencoe Lights

Tuesday, December 2, 2014

First Baptist Church of Glencoe opened its display of lights over the weekend.

The kick-off began with food, fellowship, and plenty of people watching dancing lights. Glencoe Lights is a Christmas program started more than 10 years ago and today features a light display synchronized to words and music. All you have to do is tune your car’s radio dial to 90.5 FM and enjoy the show. Church member Logan Moore says this year’s theme is "The Celebration of Light." The lights will run through New Year’s Eve and the presentation is free. Operating hours are Monday through Thursday from 5:00PM until 10:30PM, and Friday through Sunday from 5:00PM until Midnight. The church will provide a cup of free hot chocolate on every Friday and Saturday to those who come by. During the week of Christmas they will give out free hot chocolate the entire week. Spectators can expect Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus to visit the display the week of Christmas.
