Kids Count Data Book

The recently released Kids Count Data Book shows that Alabama's children are making progress in early education, fewer are being born to unwed teens, and less are dying from preventable causes. However, the report from Montgomery-based VOICES for Alabama's Children and the Annie E. Casey Foundation also shows more youth are living in poverty and the state is behind most other states. The foundation ranks Alabama 44th among the states in child well-being.
