JSU Robotics Team Wins National Competition

The Jacksonville State University Robotics Team take top honors at The Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering Student Robotics contest that took place on November 20th. The contest was held in St. Louis, Missouri. Faculty Adviser, Phillip Dean says the team started in 2010 and now there are 3 classes that have helped to build the program. J-S-U Senior and Robotics Team President Blake Ray says the team had to build an Olympic-style robot for competition. Robotics Team Sophomore Aaron Rissler says he was in charge of electronics and programming. He says he has always been interested in this field. There are 14 members on the team.
