A former youth minister who has pleaded guilty to six charges of sexually abusing minors in Jefferson County still faces charges in Cherokee and St. Clair counties.
Court records show that 74-year-old Mack Allen Davis entered his plea Monday in Jefferson County. The charges in all three counties are related to the same investigation. Two men claim that Davis abused them on multiple occasions beginning in the late 1970’s until the late 1980’s. They say the abuse happened at numerous locations including a church camp in St. Clair County and Davis’ church office in Birmingham. Davis began working at Lakeside Baptist Church in Birmingham in 1977 and later became the director of the church summer camp. He retired in 1999.
