Governor Robert Bentley and the Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs Commissioner Clyde Marsh pay tribute to America’s fallen service members and honor those currently serving in the military at the 2014 Wreaths Across America Statehouse Ceremony. Alabama’s Statehouse Ceremony took place in the Old House Chamber at the State Capitol. Following the ceremony, a wreath was taken from the Old House Chamber to the Fallen Heroes Memorial Wall in the Old Supreme Court Chamber on the first floor of the Capitol. The ceremonies are held in advance of Wreaths Across America Day, which is Saturday, December 13. On that day, more than 410,000 wreaths will be placed on the gravesites of fallen veterans at cemeteries across the country.
