One local city addresses community and police relations with a formal discussion between area officials and residents. The city of Anniston presents a Law Enforcement Roundtable this evening at the South Highland Community Center. Ward 3 Anniston City Councilman Seyram Selase was the moderator and there were panelists from the Anniston Police Department, the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, and a member from the Anniston Police Citizens Advisory Committee. Selase says the roundtable not only addressed police training, but also important law enforcement accreditation. Anniston Police Department Lieutenant Curtis McCants says today’s meeting helps to better address what the Anniston Police Citizens Advisory Committee means for the city. Selase says other councilman will plan roundtables in their wards.
