Wreath Laying Ceremony: Anniston

Tuesday, December 16, 2014

The Fort McClellan Military Cemetery continues to commemorate Wreaths Across America Day. Inspired by the service of those buried at the cemetery, volunteers laid evergreen wreaths to continue the tradition that began in 1992. Anniston Army Depot Commander Colonel Brent Bolander says ceremonies like this one on Saturday are motivated by the grief of surviving family members and inspired by the service of the brave men and women of the military. Contributions from veterans, veterans organizations, and local businesses helped to make it possible to place wreaths at all of the headstones at the Fort McClellan Military Cemetery.
