American Red Cross Blood Drive: Etowah County

Blood donations are always important but the need is especially great during the holidays. And that’s one reason that the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office hosted a blood drive today for the American Red Cross . Sheriff’s Office Chaplain and regular blood donor Bruce Word says he gives blood every 8 to 10 weeks. It’s reported that blood banks run low during the holidays, so it is especially vital to give during the seasons of high blood demand.
