Attempted Murder: Warren, Hahn, George, Maloy

A man escapes abuse at the hands of four people who authorities say were trying to murder him. Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin says the victim was an Altoona man who was bound by handcuffs and his legs with duct tape as a group repeatedly beat him with a bat-like object.

Lindsey Warren, Ann Marie Dyer-Hahn, Eric George, and Brian Maloy were arrested and are each charged with one count of attempted murder, one count of first degree kidnapping, and one count of first degree robbery, all are felonies. The violent abuse began over an argument about a stolen purse. The incident took place at several locations, in the Altoona area, on December 7. Chief Investigator Michael Jones says the investigation is ongoing. The victim escaped the violent attack and walked to a nearby residence where he sought help. He was transported to A Birmingham hospital where he was cared for in the intensive care unit for serious injuries. He is now recovering at home. All four suspects are currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center. Hahn was also served with three failure to appear warrants for traffic violations. Their bonds have each been set at $150,000 cash.
