Early Head Start-Child Care Partnership Grant
One state-wide agency receives a grant to help invest in the lives of Alabama’s children. The Alabama Department of Human Resources, Child Care Services Division receives a grant to establish partnerships between Head Start Programs and licensed child care centers.
Today, Governor Robert Bentley announced the agency has been selected to receive an Early Head Start – Child Care Partnership grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services totaling $8.3 million per year for five years. The grant, totaling $41 million over the five-year period which begins this year, will be used to serve 566 children.
