Former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman could soon learn whether he will get a new trial for his ethics conviction. A three-judge panel of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals will hear the request tomorrow in Atlanta. Siegelman is seeking to overturn his 2006 conviction on bribery and obstruction charges. Defense lawyers will argue that Siegelman's trial was tainted by a U.S. Attorney with ties to G-O-P politics.
