Ohatchee Elementary Technology Night

The Internet, computer and video games all vie for our children's attention, and sometimes that technology interferes with the process of education. Ohatchee Elementary school hosted its Technology Night at its gym for fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students and parents. Calhoun County Chief Deputy Matthew Wade talked to more than 100 students and parents about internet safety. Wade wanted to help parents understand the impact technology has in our children's lives, while offering tips on various media. The school participates in the Bring Your Own Device Program. Technology Night is part of Calhoun County Schools A Continuous Improvement Plan. They’ve scheduled two more Technology Nights; one for second and third graders and another for kindergarten and first grades.
