The Energy Information Administration says the national average is expected to drop 23 percent in 2015 to $2.60 per gallon. If that projection holds, it would mean an average savings of 77 cents per gallon throughout the year. Jacksonville State University Dean of the College of Commerce and Business Administration Dr. William Fielding sys the lower prices could continue to pump big dollars into the American economy. Fielding says people now see improvements in industries that use a lot of petroleum.The Energy Information Administration says the lower prices could bring more than $100 billion into the American economy over the course of the year.
