MLK Breakfast & Youth Participation Day: Anniston

Tuesday, January 20, 2015

A well-known child star actor spent her holiday in Anniston. My co-anchor, Vanessa Croft is here with more on the special guest at this year’s Martin Luther King, Junior Breakfast in Anniston. The City of Anniston's Good Choices program held its 13th annual MLK Day Breakfast and youth Participation Day as part of the MLK celebration...It was all about the youth in the meeting center filled to capacity as hundreds gathered to honor the Civil Rights Leader. The keynote speaker was a face that would be very familiar to this audience of young people. Pulliam says she gladly embraces her role to inspire all people both young and old to dream. The breakfast was served by area youth. The program also included musical tributes and recitations by young folks from the Anniston area. A number of City Officials were on hand...Anniston Mayor Vaughn Stewart, Vice Mayor Seyram Selase, Councilman David Reddick and Director of Parks & Recreation Steven Folks.
