Concerned Neighbor Helps Capture Criminals

Neighbors notice a suspicious vehicle in their neighborhood…Snap a photo…and help authorities capture two men in connection to a burglary. Rickey Amos and Zackary McClellan, both of Boaz, have been arrested and charged with one count of Third Degree Burglary, which is a felony. The two robbers broke into a residence on Egypt Road on Monday. Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin says a curious neighbor witnessed their truck leaving the residence and from the photo the neighbor took, deputies were able to quickly locate the truck. The vehicle, along with stolen items from the house, was discovered at a residence on Summerville Road in Boaz.  Amos and McClellan were found hiding inside the house. Amos is currently being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash bond.  He also has a probation violation.  McClellan is being detained on a $15,000 property bond.
