Rate Hike

A resolution to move forward with making community members pay more for water is approved by the Coosa Valley Water Supply District. The St.Clair County Commission and members of the water board unanimously voted to increase the cost of water about one dollar per one-thousand gallons of water. The cost jumped from $2.54 to about $3.47 per one-thousand gallons with the approval of the rate hike this week. The members have expected the increase for more than a year.
