New recommendation for Sleep: National Sleep Foundation

There are new recommendations from the National Sleep Foundation… Turns out that we need a lot more sleep than what reports show we’re getting. A panel of experts confirms that. Newborns need about 14 to 17 hours each day, infants need 12 to 15 hours, toddlers and preschoolers need between 10 and 14 hours of sleep, and teens can get by on 8 to 10 hours. Adults need between 7 and 9 hours of rest. That recommendation for adults did not change. The foundation asked 18 scientists and researchers to review more than 3-hundred sleep studies to come up with the recommendations.
