Calhoun County Schools Employee of the Month

The Calhoun County Board of Education selects its Director of Safety and Security as the Employee of the Month. Randy Reaves is a product of the Calhoun County School System. He graduated from Saks High School and went on to graduate from Jacksonville State University. He began his career as a police officer with the city of Oxford. And, now has been with the county school system for 13 months. Calhoun County Schools Superintendent Joe Dyar has worked with Reaves for more than a year-and-a half and says he is always at work on time and has a good disposition. Reaves says he enjoys dealing with the employees and students every day. He adds that he knows his job is important because he is responsible for more than 9-thousand students on a daily basis. But, yet he says he doesn’t feel worthy of the recognition. Alexandria High School Principal Mack Holley has known Reaves for more than 7 years and has worked with him in his current position for a year-and-a-half. He says Reaves is the genuine article and a great problem-solver. The Employee of the Month is sponsored by America’s First Federal Credit Union. Each winner receives a 200-hundred dollar certificate.
