Anniston Army Depot Employee Reduction
Today, the Anniston Army Depot announces the release of approximately 190 temporary employees. The decision comes amidst a projected workload at the facility that has decreased. Anniston Army Depot Commander Colonel Brent T. Bolander says the installation will continue to constantly look at the workforce to see if they have what is needed to accommodate the requirements of what is provided to them. Officials say the installation is working with the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce to provide job fairs and other opportunities to assist affected employees. 144 employees will be released February 28 and 46 employees will be released April 30.
