National Wear Red Day

The first Friday each February is a special day to bring attention to the fight against heart disease and stroke in women. Since the first National Wear Red Day in 2003, the American Heart Association has made tremendous strides in the fight against heart disease and stroke in women. Today, you were encouraged to wear red, raise your voice, know your  cardiovascular risk and take action to live longer, healthier lives.  According to statistics, 1 in 3 women die of heart disease and stroke each year, yet it is 80-percent preventable.
