Honda Manufacturing of Alabama donates some of its vehicles for fire and rescue “Jaws of Life” training, today. More than 40 Lincoln fire and rescue professionals, as well as members of the Alabama National Guard from surrounding counties and communities participated in an extrication course at Honda Manufacturing of Alabama. Participants say they appreciate being able to train on cars that are more up to date. Anniston Fire Department Sergeant Rodney Ball agrees that the new rescue techniques they are learning in today’s field course is preparing them for true accident conditions and real-to-life situations. He adds that every truck in Anniston is getting ready to be equipped with the new tools. Honda Officials say that although the cars are brand new cars they are test cars and prototypes and can’t be titled or given away.
