Calhoun County Schools recognize a member of their team who has positively impacted the lives of students for more than thirty-two years with the award of Calhoun County Schools Employee of the Month. Robin Kines, the Employee of the Month got her start in Wellborn schools where she worked for seventeen-and-a-half years. She then moved to Saks Middle School as Assistant Principal and then to Saks High School where she also served as Assistant Principal. She was then promoted to Principal at Ohatchee. Kines is now the Principal for the Calhoun County Alternative School, and she’s been in her current position for three years. Calhoun County Schools Superintendent Joe Dyar has worked with Ms. Kines for approximately 15 years. He says she is a tireless worker who is changing the lives of her students every day. Saks Middle School Principal Wendy England has worked with Kines for 10 years and admires her attitude. England says Kines is a friend to education and she always finds a way to do what’s right for her students. Kines adds that every day is a new day full of possibilities and she enjoys spending her days helping her students. Kines works with two programs. She is the administrator to both the student disciplinary program and the PASS programRobin Kines says she is honored to receive the award and feels that she’s been placed in a very rewarding position. The Calhoun County Schools Employee of the Month receives a two-hundred-dollar gift certificate from America’s First Federal Credit Union.
