With temperatures continuing to drop this week, the city of Anniston adds one more warming station to our list from last night... Anniston's Parks & Recreation Department will open Carver Community Center, located on 14th Street, as a warming station to those in need. The warming station will be open from 5 p.m. on Wednesday, to 7 a.m. on Saturday. And the Etowah County E-M-A has also updated its warming station list...The Salvation Army is not setup for family sheltering. For family sheltering, please go to the Elliott Community Center location in Gadsden. For transportation assistance in the City of Gadsden, call 256-543-3278 between 6:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. And remember, pets are not allowed at warming centers or shelters.
