New Health Clinic Opens: Gadsden
Just a week shy of one year ago, community leaders in Gadsden gathered for a special groundbreaking ceremony in East Gadsden. Today, those same leaders gathered again for the Grand Opening and ribbon cutting of the community’s newest Quality of Life health clinic. The Gadsden Family and Student Health Solutions Clinic opened today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house. The new clinic is located adjacent to Litchfield Middle School on Wilbanks Avenue. Quality of Life CEO Wayne Rowe says that school-based clinics like this one are a tremendous asset for providing quality healthcare for the city’s young people - in a setting that makes it convenient for everyone - by bringing the doctor’s office to the school. Studies show that students perform better in school when they show up to class healthy and ready to learn. One of the dignitaries on hand today was 4th District Congressman Robert Aderholt. Congressman Aderholt was instrumental in securing federal funding to help with the development of the clinic. The new Quality of Life Gadsden Family and Student Health Solutions Clinic is located at 1216 Wilbanks Avenue in Gadsden…next to Litchfield Middle School. The clinic will be open from 7:30am until 4:30pm Monday thru Friday and will offer Medical Services, Dental Services and Behavioral Services.
