Ready Alabama Preparedness Day Delayed

An event to teach students about extreme weather education is being postponed for the safety of its participants. This Friday was supposed to be "Ready Alabama Preparedness Day." The National Weather Service says the season's coldest-weather yet could bring winter precipitation across northern counties. But, a sales tax holiday is still being held despite the delay. Shoppers can purchase storm-preparation items without paying the state sales tax Friday through Sunday.
