Capital Murder: Vinnie Leroy Keaton

Vinnie Leroy Keaton has pled to Guilty to Capital Murder Charges for the 2012 slaying of Melissa Leeann Hudgins. Keaton was indicted by a Cherokee County Grand Jury on charges of Capital Murder, Robbery and Promoting Prison Contraband after he was arrested in Cookeville, Tennessee as a suspect in Hudgins' murder.  Hudgins' body was found inside a closet in the arena of the Cherokee County Campus of Gadsden State Community College in Centre.  Keaton appeared before Cherokee County Circuit Judge Jeremy Taylor on Wednesday morning and sentencing in the case has been set for March 16th.  Keaton has already been ordered by the State to pay $50,000 in restitution.
