Well, Carl, the Primetime News crew had a chance to get out on Saturday and have some fun – and – support a local agency. That’s right, TV24 had the pleasure of partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Alabama to sponsor this year’s Bowl for Kids Sake. The group’s annual fundraiser was held on Friday and Saturday at Paradise Lanes in Gadsden and raised almost $20,000 for the mentoring agency. 35 teams sponsored by businesses and individuals participated in this year’s event. Bowl for Kids Sake is an important part of Big Brothers Big Sisters fundraising effort and allows the group to provide services to kids in five East Alabama counties. The goal of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to support the children of Northeast Alabama by providing them a strong and enduring - professionally supported – one-on-one relationship that will change their lives for the better – forever.
