A federal grand jury indicted a Birmingham man in an armed robbery of an East Alabama business in 2013. William Brownlow is charged with robbing both the Show Shoe on East Battle Street in Talladega and the Wesco gas station and convenience story on Fort Lashley Avenue in Talladega in November 2013. It is a three count indictment. Brownlow is also charged with brandishing a firearm during the Wesco robbery. The maximum prison penalty for the robbery charge is 20 years. Brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence carries a minimum mandatory sentence of seven years.
