K-9 Agility Course: Weaver

The city of Weaver constructs a K-9 Agility course, this weekend. Mayor Wayne Willis says the course is being built to law enforcement training specifications. It will be the same obstacles working dogs negotiate during training. Those working on the course are members of the Fort McClellan Officers Candidates School, members of the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Auburn University, AM K-9, the Weaver Lions Club, Weaver Police Department, and the Anniston Kennel Club. Anniston Kennel Club Secretary Faye Davenport expresses her excitement in being part of the construction of the course. When the course is not being used for training; the course will be open for the general public to bring their dogs to train or play.
