A speeding truck is stopped by authorities in Cherokee County, the occupants toss an object from the window while being pursued and officials find two men, both in possession of drug paraphernalia. According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, a routine traffic stop led to two Rome men being arrested on drug charges around noon on Monday. 26-year-old Jonathan York is charged with tampering with physical evidence, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession with the intent to distribute. 29-year-old Bradley Myers is charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with the intent to distribute, and an illegal weapons charge. A search of their vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia and a clear plastic bag containing a crystal like substance which tested positive as methamphetamine. Both men were transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center.
