Testimony is expected to resume Monday morning in Joyce Garrard's capital murder trial in Etowah County. Judge Billy Ogletree told jurors this morning that the trial would not be held today due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control. Jurors were also off yesterday. The judge hasn't said why testimony hasn't been heard since Wednesday. Prosecutors claim Garrard killed her grand-daughter Savannah Hardin in 2012 by making her run for hours as punishment for telling a lie. The prosecution is expected to wrap up its side of the case early next week and the defense will begin calling witnesses after that.
