A group retracing the steps of the 1965 Selma-to-Montgomery Voting Rights March made its way to the state capitol this afternoon. That's where the group held a voting rights rally. Participants set out on the 54-mile walk in Selma Monday and arrived in Montgomery after lunch today. Those taking the journey have called for a restoration of a portion of the Voting Rights Act. They want states with histories of minority voter suppression to get federal permission before changing voting laws.
