Gifted students from Calhoun County Schools learn what it means to survive in the world if zombies took over, today. The students participated in a survival skills program at the archery park in Heflin. Calhoun County Schools Gifted Specialist Melba Phillips says, today was all about marksmanship, because, marksmanship is one of the best ways to kill a zombie. Heflin Parks and Recreation Director Tammy Perry says the park has hosted many programs, proving that the area is perfect for an archery park. The park is open to the public 7 days a week during daylight hours. The only thing you need is a hunting license or a permit just to shoot.
