State archivists say they plan to release newly discovered and rare color film footage on their archive website and YouTube channel today, along with recently acquired aerial photos, of the third and final Selma to Montgomery voting rights march a half-century ago.

The Tuscaloosa News reports that the Alabama Department of Archives and History recently discovered the 3,000 feet of 16mm black and white and rare color film footage during a collections inventory of materials archived during the administration of former Alabama Governor George Wallace.
