MADD Pre-Prom Program: Southside

An organization whose mission is to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes, and prevent underage drinking brings its message to Southside High School, today. Southside High School partnered with Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the local Southside Police Department for a Pre-Prom Program at Southside High School. The program included a drama and special guest speakers. Special student representative and program speaker Taylor Clough says she tried to relate to the students and hope they heard her important message. Southside Police Department Sergeant Jay Freeman says Southside High School has its prom on Friday in Gadsden. He is hoping that this program continues to encourage students to make the right choice. Mothers Against Drunk Driving was founded by a mother whose daughter was killed by a drunk driver. It is the nation’s largest nonprofit working to protect families from drunk driving and underage drinking.
