Jesse Jackson, Jr. to be Transferred from Prison to Half-way House
Former U.S. Representative Jesse Jackson Junior is scheduled to be released tomorrow from a federal prison in Alabama. That's according to Congressman Patrick Kennedy, who visited Jackson this week. In 2013, Jackson pleaded guilty to using campaign funds for personal use. He admitted to diverting about three-quarters of a million dollars from 2005 through 2012. Jackson has served almost 17 months of his 30 month sentence. He will be taken from federal prison to a half-way house in Washington D.C.
