A Gaylesville man wanted in connection to a stabbing is in custody. According to the Cherokee County Sheriff's office, Nicholas Silvers was arrested Saturday on felony assault charges. Silvers was captured by deputies and the United States Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force. Authorities say Silvers is accused of stabbing another man Wednesday morning during an altercation in Cedar Bluff. The victim was taken to Cherokee Medical Center and transferred to another hospital for surgery. Silvers is currently being held in the Cherokee County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.
